A. Your night nanny can help with bottle preparation, bottle and pump sanitation and/or sterilization, storing breastmilk, bringing your set-up pump to you when needed, bottle washing, and laundry for the baby.

A. Our night nannies come from various backgrounds. Some are internationally registered nurses, midwives, and others are experienced postpartum doulas and newborn care specialists.

A. Each night nanny goes through a rigorous screening process. After submitting their application, Jessica reviews and selects the candidates that meet the Agency's standards and qualifications. She then conducts an interview with the potential candidate. If the candidate meets our internal standards, we check and verify a minimum of 3 professional references .

The candidate then completes a background check through their local police department . This check includes a standard criminal record check and a vulnerable sector screening, as required by law for anyone working with minors.

A. We'll always be with your baby during shifts. We accommodate any set up you have. For some families, this means the living room and close to the kitchen to make bottles. For others, we spend the night in the nursery or another designated room in the house. The goal is to ensure we're somewhere where you won't be disturbed by your baby's noises so you can get as much rest as possible.

A. This depends on the comfort level of each family. Many families are okay with the night nanny sleeping while the baby sleeps. For others, they prefer to have the night nanny stay awake while caring for the baby. We always make sure to accommodate your preferences.

A. Due to the standard of care and vigilance we require from our night nannies while on shift, we don't have the ability to care for older children you might have. The night nanny's sole focus is your baby and making sure they are safe and settled throughout the night.

A.  We strongly encourage families to book as far in advance as possible. The earlier you book, the more candidates you will have to choose from, making sure we find the absolute best fit for your family.

Booking close to when you need support may result in no availability, or only having 1 or 2 candidates to choose from.

A.  Definitely! It may seem counterproductive to book night support if you will be getting up  anyway. However, night feeds can take a long time to when you factor in feeding, burping, settling etc.

Your night nanny can facilitate a shorter feed time for you by bringing the baby to you in bed - or whichever place you decide to feed - and then focus on getting the baby burped and settled while you go back to sleep.

A.  We currently serve families in the Lower Mainland in cities like North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Delta, Richmond and Tsawwassen.

For families further out, we charge a mileage fee of $0.68/km both to and from the shift. Some families choose to pay by the hourly rate for the additional travel time to and from.
