About

Hi there! I’m Jessica.
A Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist and Pediatric Sleep Consultant

I love a good podcast to listen to during middle of the night feeds, and I live for the post-feed, milk-drunk, baby cuddles

ONCE UPON A TIME

I was in medical school training to become a doctor. I was living my dream and it felt amazing. Until it... wasn't.

I've had a thing for babies for as long as I can remember. In fact, I witnessed my first birth when I was just 12 years old. I'm pretty sure my parents thought that would be the end of of me loving babies, but I can assure you, the love is just as strong!

I began my career attending medical school in Central America, pursing my dream of becoming a doctor.  Six years into medical school, life threw a curveball, When my plans didn't work out, I began general nannying both here in Vancouver, and abroad in Cambridge, England.

I was really excited when I discovered night nannying. It was a world I didn't know existed, and yet it was everything I could dream of - a chance to care for babies and support families!

It felt like life was giving me a re-do to a dream I once had and thought was lost.

I founded Cuddles & Care on the belief that parenthood isn't a journey  meant to be done alone. Having a strong support system during postpartum and beyond is so important and can make a meaningful difference in your family's life. Finding trusted people to care for your child is huge, and we don't take this responsibility lightly.

Nothing brings me more joy than seeing families thrive as they adapt and adjust to life with their new baby. I'm so grateful to every family who has welcomed both me and my team into their homes with open arms every single night.

what my clients have to say:

" Jessica has been an absolute lifesaver to us as we adjust to life with our newborn baby boy! She's so great with him and has given us lots of tips and tricks in regards to sleep, feeding, baby gadgets, and more. Her warm personality immediately put us at ease, and we feel so comfortable leaving our little one with her overnight as we know he's in the best hands. I can't imagine having done those first few weeks after bringing baby home without her!"
