Our team is usually hired for shifts that range between 8 -12 hours. The average family books a night nanny for 3-4 months or until their baby is sleeping succesfully through the night. Some families book shorter periods - anywhere between 2 -8 weeks, allowing them to properly rest and recover during those first busy, sleepless, weeks.

As a founder who has spent countless nights caring for families myself, I understand firsthand how demanding, emotional and important this work truly is. Supporting parents and newborns through those first nights, weeks and months is a responsibility we take to heart, and it's something I believe deserves both expertise and respect.
That's why I've made it a core value of Cuddles & Care to pay our team fairly for the incredible dedication, skill, and compassion they bring to every shift. When our caregivers feel supported and valued, they're able to show up at their best for you and your baby - night after night.
Investing in professional, compassionate overnight care isn't just about getting sleep; it's about ensuring you and your baby are cared for by people who love what they do, feel empowered to do it well, and stay with your family until you no longer need them.
I believe every family deserves this level of support, and every caregiver deserves fair pay for the life-changing work they do.

Our team of night nannies provide overnight support to families during the first year of their baby's life. They are highly trained professionals who specialize in infant and newborn care, breastfeeding support, and can provide feedback and guidance on your baby's development if needed. Our team of baby specialists come from the following backgrounds:
Postpartum doulas
Internationally trained nurses & Midwives
During the night they will feed, rock, burp, change and soothe your baby. They can also help with breastfeeding or pumping, laundry for the baby, sanitizing bottles/pump parts, and provide guidance and feedback on your baby's development as requested.
If breastfeeding, the night nanny can bring your baby to you in bed so you don't have to get up, and then they settle the baby once you are finished. Alternatively, they can meet you in the nursery or wherever you prefer to feed. If bottle feeding, they will take care of all night feedings so you can sleep through. If you need to get up to pump, your night nanny can get everything ready, bring the pump to you, and then come collect the milk, properly store it and get the pump washed and ready for your next session.
They will also keep an overnight log with your baby's feeds, diaper changes, sleep, and any other pertinent notes.
